Elevating a Historical Service Society.

The mission of the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America (NSCDA) — a nationwide women’s organization—centers on historic preservation, education, and patriotic service.

And Firefli's mission? To help them elevate their digital presence and infrastructure

Our redesign of the NSCDA website included an extensive members-only area and deeply customized databases to record and present genealogical and topical research, such as the Sampler and Verses library. These tools give members and researchers streamlined access to a wealth of historical resources while ensuring that sensitive content is presented thoughtfully and responsibly.

From this foundation, we also designed and built the website for Great American Treasures (GAT), a program of NSCDA that showcases historic properties and sites across the United States. Each site tells a unique story about America’s past, brought to life through curated digital profiles that connect audiences to local heritage and history. Together, these platforms empower NSCDA and GAT to highlight preservation work, engage new generations, and expand access to cultural and educational resources nationwide.

Alongside the core platforms, Firefli also facilitated connections with other preservation-focused nonprofits, such as Restoration Housing. That collaboration later surfaced in the NSCDA’s exhibit at Dumbarton House, Power in Preservation, which highlights both the historical and contemporary roles of women in preservation.

"A Team That Saw and
Appreciated
the Bigger Picture."

"It was wonderful to find a team that saw and appreciated the bigger picture of what we were trying to accomplish. The Firefli team successfully delivered a platform that was engaging and accurately reflected our company as a brand. We were quite pleased with the analytics of the platform even early on as it showed traffic growing and users engaging with multiple landing pages. Read More on Clutch
