Glen Raven: Weaving Connections for a Global Fabric Enterprise
When you collaborate with an organization for over 10 years, you’re there for a lot of big brand moments. And a lot of Carolina barbeque, if you’re lucky. Such is the story of Firefli and Glen Raven, a global leader in high-performance textiles, a longtime partner of Firefli, and a gracious host when our team pops down for a meeting and stays for a meal (or two. Or twenty. But who’s counting?)
Building a strong foundation
Firefli collaborated with stakeholders from every corner of the company, connecting insights across leadership, sales, marketing, and IT teams to create cohesive, memorable user experiences like a state-of-the-art website and customized landing pages. On the administration end, we also helped set up and manage their Digital Asset Management system, provided hosting, and worked to integrate a HRIS into the website for hiring campaigns, allowing Glen Raven to track applications and monitor campaign success.
Scaling for subsidiaries
Next on the list was GlenGuard, an advanced AR/FR (arc-rated, flame-resistant) fabric brand and Glen Raven subsidiary. To better support their planned international expansion and introduction of new fabric lines, Firefli developed a content strategy with the navigational clarity, depth, and structural flexibility that would provide a strong footing for future growth. We then implemented it onto their brand new website, integrating their updated branding and new supplementary content around job hazards and industry-specific fabric solutions.
Experiencing some “firsts”
The Firefli-Glen Raven partnership goes well beyond outcomes—we’ve also experienced a few exciting “firsts” together! Glen Raven was at the forefront of the accessible web movement, and Firefli was there to provide testing, insights, and group presentations for aligning the brand with shifting WCAG requirements. And when Glen Raven subsidiary, Sunbrella, came to us with concerns about their website navigation, Firefli was there to conduct their first ever round of UX and information architecture testing.
The Firefli team was easy to work with, understood our abilities, and delivered an excellent report that showed exactly what we wanted to know.
