Optimizing a Global Policy & Data Think Tank.
Even though it's a New York-based school, our partnership with a NYU had a worldwide impact.
With a focus on global issues, Firefli joined forces with one of the university's NGO think tanks to deliver a digital ecosystem that could support research, policy, and advocacy on an international scale.
Our work included designing and building two flagship websites—the Center on International Cooperation (CIC) and SDG16+—paired with brand research and standards to strengthen the SDG16+ identity. Accessibility and multilingual reach in English, Arabic, French, and Spanish were foundational to the builds, ensuring inclusivity across global audiences.
To streamline operations, our team implemented advanced content synchronization across platforms, reducing duplication and making management more efficient for internal teams. We also supported specialized grant-funded initiatives such as the Inequality Solutions Portal and Preventing Armed Violence: An Evidence-Based Tool for Smarter Policy & Action, which featured interactive data visualizations for policymakers.
And we didn’t stop there. Firefli also provided hosting procurement and ongoing management, plus design and technical support for microsites like the Congo Research Group and the GENSAC Network. At the systems level, we built an API integration that allows the United Nations to dynamically pull in content from CIC and SDG16+ websites, extending the reach of NYU’s research to a truly global stage.
